I think a really key point with Eddie is that he grew up pretty poor so he never had many effects he could throw in so he pushed himself pretty hard to improve what he could do. I mean this sincerely I don’t get why people hate capitalism on its own when there are countries with far less regulated markets that are doing better socially. Ex. I just don’t understand why people think that changing the whole economic system will make things better when it seems to be apparent that it’s a political system problem, not an economic one. Do people not consider the countries I listed as a capitalist? Are people aware of their economic structures? Or is capitalism in this context a stand-in a name for broad systematic pain(which does exist)
