I mean this sincerely I don’t get why people hate capitalism on its own when there are countries with far less regulated markets that are doing better socially. Ex. New Zealand, UK, Switzerland, Ireland, Canada, and Taiwan are all ranked as being more capitalist than the US and have solved the same problems the US faces while still remaining capitalist.
I just don’t understand why people think that changing the whole economic system will make things better when it seems to be apparent that it’s a political system problem, not an economic one. Do people not consider the countries I listed as a capitalist? Are people aware of their economic structures? Or is capitalism in this context a stand-in a name for broad systematic pain(which does exist)
