Thank you. Reddit is an easy place to accidentally incite arguments and I only am seeking understanding, not a brawl. I always try and start by establishing common ground, a clear POV, and simple questions. Thank you for your response and for directly answering one of my questions. So a possible resolution would be to have a system of education that encourages political literacy.
The problem is that the US fetishizes capitalism to the point that anything outside of our trickle-down Reagan fantasy benefiting the 1% is considered wicked commie evil socialism. It’s the same stuff holding us back from having meaningful healthcare and decent wages that many of the countries you listed enjoy.
