Reading all these comments, my mind is blown by how bad it really is in the states. You hear about it all the time, but I guess at some point you become kind of numb or desensitized. I didn’t think it was this bad. I’m Canadian, btw, and although we have our own issues of racism these days (especially involving indigenous peoples here), we don’t have it like it across the border.

I’m white tattooed pierced etc. Several times I’ve popped my head up behind him to say is there a problem and stare down the other person. I do all the returns in stores, book service calls, etc. I get better service and sometimes cheaper than they quote him. And I live in what I think is one of the least racist countries in the world.
