I can’t tell you how distressing it is that this really bad take is actually getting traction or promoted. The position of the speaker is this: Dismantle the police because 95% of the police live outside city limits and so in effect, the city is funding the suburbs by paying these officers wage that they presumably spend outside city limits you think the city has the right to mandate where their employees live? Do you think the city has the right to mandate where their employees spend their money that money – that wage – is theirs. They can do whatever they want with it. They can also live wherever the fuck they want.
