My roommate was born in 81 and he absolutely loathes the idea of being called a millennial. I’ve tried to explain that the hate he feels is probably based off of the media’s twisting millennials into the butt of jokes, but he insists that he’s not. But honestly, 81 is a pretty good mix of gen x and millennials I think.

Most people say Gen Z starts in 1997 but some people say it starts in 1995/1996. I was born in 1995 and I feel like 1997 is a good starting year for Gen Z as all of my friends born in 1997 or later seem to be into different trends and ideals as my friends born in 1996 or sooner.
