I don’t know. I feel like every person I have ever had the chance to speak with longer than a few minutes has had something interesting to say, and has a degree of complexity that sometimes even surprises me. Maybe I’m misunderstanding the concept, but this seems like reducing a whole complex person into something small and unimportant, and I’m not sure I like it. I’d rather focus on the potential each person has.
Agreed, and well said. Perhaps ‘not very widely supported’ was too soft of language to get the point I was trying to make across. I wanted to refrain from a ‘your perception of the world is accepted by most as fundamentally incorrect’, type deal.
