Having spent many brutal summer months building homes on several native reservations in the state, I’m pretty sure I’ve slept in a few places that make Pierre feel like Paris. Spent some time in a nasty-assed single wide, literally down by the tracks in the center of the rez. town. My partner and I headed east, back home, and immediately got sicker than roadkill for about six weeks. Scared the shit out of my family doc.
