So you have to learn to be self-sufficient and build your own support systems for your social needs, family needs, health needs. People will expect you to take care of yourself, to ask for what you want and don’t want. No one will try to figure you out after a certain point. While that’s scary and can feel isolating, it’s also liberating. There’s so much possibility. So many great things you can do. And you don’t need anyone to tell you that you can do them.
Being offended is something you’ll have to learn to deal with instead of oozing gall over the person who upset you (or worse, people who had nothing to do with it). It’s just a matter of perspective. You can choose how you interpret what’s happening to you. Like I got scolded by a rude customer in front of all my co-workers. He was in the wrong and didn’t want to accept apologies or to find a solution.
