All the racism debate aside, I can’t fathom going into a business deal or real estate deal with 18 other families. That seems like a recipe for disaster. I guess the devil is in the details of how it’s structured… What if one family wants out? Do the others have to buy them out? Who makes the decisions? This sounds like an HOA on steroids and we all know most HOAs are hated by those in them.

This is how many cities got started. You always hear about cities founding fathers… you also hear about the all too common disagreements and backstabbing… that’s how politics gets started… but the first step is for a group of people to establish a community, and once they have enough population they go any application for a charter to municipalize.
