Yeaaaaah, those algorithms, and data are “proprietary” and I never even had access to them, but there are a lot of factors. That’s part of the reason different companies can offer better rates for certain vehicles/areas because they only have data from their own claims history regarding those areas/factors to go on.

If enough people switch and claims increase for that new company, they raise premiums and now it would be cheaper back with who you started with haha. Insurance is a vicious cycle, but honestly, I’ve seen the worst-case scenarios of not having it and that’s why I always tried my hardest to share my knowledge and understanding.
