I wonder if it is the mask thing TOO. My BFF just traveled (by car) across the country to DC and back home to Vegas and she said she despaired for November as the middle of the country had no one wearing masks and a general tone of ‘Trump is gonna get those Dems good.’ I don’t for a second think it wasn’t a racist thing as well- it is on both fronts that Trump has ENCOURAGED divisiveness. I – this morning- was thinking how if he is reelected it will be worse. He will have NOTHING TO lose (no future election and no way to get rid of him) in terms of stirring people up which I think is a thrill for him (as it evinces his power over people).
