So after our initial first year of marriage, half of which I was gone for, and the other half spent building about 20k of debt, we really weren’t in a happy marriage. I spent most of my time making sure we were sticking to our budget to make sure we were debt-free by the end of the year. This forced us to get a roommate. Which just caused more stress. Marriage counseling didn’t help because we had a terrible counselor we should have never gone back to after the first appt.
