Honestly, that would be a really shitty way to launder money, I’d assume the mob would be more on top of their game. Sure, you could theoretically clean money through it by massively inflating cash sales, but you have to dump a lot of money into supplies to not immediately tip somebody off. The IRS looks at more than just money in when you’re a business.

Anyway one day they just all closed down. At the time we had no idea what happened but we were gutted. Maybe a year or so later is comes out that the owners were operational a decent-sized drug ring in the background. They got busted and the pizza stores were shut down.
