So funny story about this one. When I was in high school, there was this place in the next podunk town. Small little restaurant. Food wasn’t excellent homemade cooking or anything but didn’t taste like cheap boxed shite either. I could get a country-fried steak, about half the size of a dinner plate, two sides, and a drink for below ten bucks.

Well, a friend of my dad’s owned a local buffet restaurant. We went there on Sundays because it was frankly, good food, good price, and you could see them making the stuff in the kitchen. He remarked there was no way he could turn any kind of profit there at all. They didn’t serve booze or anything, so it didn’t make sense. Had to be some kind of front.
