Have a light annoying cough that’s been coming and going, wanted to take a few vacation days to sit on it and see if it worsens. The job won’t approve even vacation time unless I have a note from my Dr that says I’m sick. So, like most jobs, we all have to work until we get sick or sicker. A 14 day shut in at least would probably curb a lot of panic and stress over all of this. Give people time to sit at home, relax, and take a breather. Vs being out and about worried and anxious.
Pharmacy Technician here. It looks like we’re not closing down anytime soon. I feel like my job will keep us open post quarantine. But the news has terrified people into trying some of the craziest stuff. This lady asked me and a pharmacist if the yellow fever vaccine will work. Smh. I’m not saying to be cautious, but wtf? I literally stopped work on Saturday, announced we were closing, and would remain so until further notice. I’m a barber and we service many older customers. I don’t know if I could live with myself if we stayed open and I ended up infecting someone who then died as a result.
