Advocating for a policy, however noble and in my firm personal opinion correct, is still politics by definition. Can it with the “with us or against us” stuff. There are actually white supremacists that accusations should be leveled at. The goal of this district policy is to provide a more neutral, open environment for education. And wearing this shirt isn’t even supporting BLM. It’s just being anti-police brutality. While this may seem a weird position, a person can be anti-BLM and also anti-police brutality.

I can’t breathe isn’t a slogan made by anybody. BLM just helped popularize it after Eric Garner said it repeatedly while being murdered by police (but he wasn’t the first and sadly wasn’t the last). The shirt could even just be anti-asthma if you’re really dumb and don’t know the context.
