I don’t have a problem with teaching the context of race and politics. I have a problem if there’s bias. If you disagree, would you be ok if your kid’s English teacher wore a MAGA hat and a trump 2020 shirt? Or does your approval of the situation depend on your approval of the bias? So there’s going to be a shitton of right-wing outrage about her Freedom of Speech, right? Right-wingers don’t only care about Free Speech when a supremacist gets banned from Twitter, do they?

Charter schools are very unregulated in California and frequently lie on their reports to the state. They are shady as fuck and use their doctored stats to show they are “better” than public schools. They are used by poorer parents with dumb kids, political radicals, and religious fundies to get around state curriculums and push what they want to push while still showing good grades to the state and colleges.
