From another article, where Chuck Schumer delayed the bill to insert this: “The updated language extended the ban to businesses in which several family members collectively have a 20 percent stake, even if each person’s individual stake is below the 20 percent threshold.”
My guess is they would own a shell corp – and that shell corp owns the company that receives that money. I’m not going to read that bill, but I hope it includes corporations controlled by Trump and owns 20 or more % of the company receiving the money.
