I first hated the idea because I thought Watson being a woman would create sexual tension and “will they, won’t they”, and I hated that idea. But I started watching it, and the love they have is completely platonic and/or professional, which I think needs to be portrayed more in media. I’m now on season 5. I wouldn’t say it’s better than Sherlock, but its definitely very good, and there is also a lot more of it to consume than Sherlock, so there’s that.
