They took us all in and tried to pull the same deal on my roommate, to narc out other people in exchange for no jail. He said no, and had to serve 3 months in jail, my other roommate had to stay over the weekend, and thankfully I just got a warning because nothing was found in my room. This was all for an ounce of pot mind you. Maybe a week after our run-in, Rachel was busted and shortly after murdered.

UGH! Rachel was a good friend of mine. What happened to her was such a travesty, and really could have happened to anyone of us. When I just saw her face my heart sank into my stomach, and this happened 12 years ago. Thankfully, her parents are incredible people, became activists and Rachel’s Law was passed in Florida a year after her passing, limiting law enforcement agencies’ ability to coerce people into being informants in exchange for a reduced sentence. I sure wish it would bring her back though.
