I’ll never forget watching this movie with my parents as a kid. There’s a scene where someone is fixing a car and they ask to be handed some tool or another. Not even a plot point, just something the character is doing while they have a dialogue. And my dad scoffs and says why would he need a [whatever tool] to fix a [whatever part]. Of the details that defy reality, that’s one only a dad can find.

The biggest plot hole for me, and I LOVE these movies, is that they could have sent dozens of them at the same time. They could have sent one to kill the Connor family in the 1700s and wiped out the entire family line. And even so, going by the second film, they still fucked up and just barely gave the humans enough time to prevent Skynet from being invented.
