I feel it better to think of them as stuck. Stuck in the time when they grew up thinking that politics was only about whether white and black people should have the same rights, thinking that it was about whether guns would be taken or not, thinking that people in Washington looked out for their interests either way. It’s really really hard to get those people to believe that there is a system that in fact helps or harms their wallets until it starts hurting them. And it’s even harder to convince them that the reason they are being hurt isn’t that companies suck, it’s because the government allows companies to suck.
