Honestly, I depressed a lot. I wanna believe things will get better.. but I just don’t know. What’s the worth of working to live at the cost of your soul? So much so that sometimes you don’t wanna live at allLMMFAO! I live in the PNW, and I share a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment with my wife, and 2 cats. It’s not huge…like 800 square feet. Our rent is $1310. So, even if my wife and I combined our hypothetical $600 stimulus checks, we STILL wouldn’t have enough to cover even 1 month’s rent! $600 is an insult, a bad joke, a feeble effort from an uncaring Congress who is badly out of touch with basic US economics.

A while ago I was talking to a then GF’s parents who had owned their own home for years and hadn’t rented in over thirty. My and GF were talking about trying to find a place to live together, but the rent was too high. They thought I was and asked how much my current rent is. I told them it was around $1100 for a two-bedroom apartment (Saint Paul, MN – 811sq ft). They told me I had to be living in a palace and refused to believe I was spending that much. I asked them what they thought was decent rent. Without batting an eye, they told me they would never pay more than $400 for 1,200 sq ft. I laughed in their faces and said rent hasn’t been that cheap in my entire lifetime. They were offended so I offered to pay them a grand in cash if they could find anything within that range for rent in the Twin Cities.
