Sure they do this shit in the later movies, but in the first movie, the terminator has hold of the front of Sarah Connor’s top through the windshield of a car. It ‘let’s go’ when Kyle Reese swings the car around and the terminator flies off. We don’t see it letting go of her top, but the force with which he’s whipped around the cause him to fly off the car would surely be enough.
