downs, symptoms would surge and then subside, only to then randomly surge again. After that, I had another 2 months of various lingering annoyances but of lesser severity. Now I’m basically back to normal, REALLY ecstatic to have my health back because I really wasn’t sure whether I would ever get through this, or if I would become permanently disabled. I still consider myself quite fortunate, tons of other long haulers.
I’ve talked to are still facing extreme difficulties with fatigue, shortness of breath, and numerous other symptoms. This virus is serious, and the fatality rate is not the only way it can devastate you. This is why herd immunity is bullshit. People who find the mortality rate acceptable don’t seem to realize the gravity of unknown long term complications or they just don’t care.
