I’m going into the tech field, specifically, I’m currently enrolled in a 2-year degree for Computer Networking (degree is associate of applied science). Would this be considered an in-demand skill that will one day help? I also plan to learn french, exclusively because I heard it helps. I’m 23 and do not want to live in America. I’ve come from a very poor background and struggled a lot to get where I am now, which relied on a lot of luck and help from friends.

We have tons of those types of tech schools and grads here. You’ll be competing directly with Canadians. It may still allow you to get in but getting a job will be hard from there. No reason for a Canadian company to hire outside the country. You’ll have a better chance of being here and applying. Not sure what it takes to get in but figure that out first.
