I feel so empowered now. I was feeling really down before, especially being in a STEM field where I’m usually the only one in the whole department who looks like me. I started college at 16, got my master’s at 22, and am now working on getting my Ph.D. But I’m despite all of this, I’m always seen as stupid, ghetto, and unable to do anything on my own. I’m always looked over in favor of my other peers.
Way to go Vice president-elect Kamala Harris, you’ve just helped to break down lots of barriers and stereotypes for many people out there. For every person who says we can’t do something, there’s another person who says we can. Thank you. We really and truly are now taking the steps to make America great again.
