The first time I saw this the explanation was that they were not allowed to do this unless they were off rotation, and technically they had to return to the building to be “off their shift” so once he entered the building then he was free to take the picture with the boy.
People seem to forget that doing that is active duty for them. This is like their Afghanistan or Iraq. So when they tell at you to get off the Queen’s fence, or, heaven forbid, remind you that their guns are /actually commissioned and loaded guns/, it’d real. And they will hurt you.
