I have my coffee black with no sugar. trick to making it less bitter and way more pleasant, especially if its cheap coffee that always tastes burnt, add a tiny crack of sea salt into it. like a really minuscule amount. it takes away the sharply bitter burnt taste. I also just really like bitter things compared to sweet things. black coffee pairs really damn well with a high % cocoa dark chocolate IMO.

Coffee is one of the simple pleasures of my life. I love the smell of the beans. I tend to mix 2/3 medium roast with the rest dark roast. I love the sound of the burr grinder. I love the ritual. I grind a little fine and I use a little extra because I like a strong brew. And yes, I enjoy a wee bit of heavy cream in my coffee…never milk (yuck) and half and half is just half-assed.
