Each to his own. I have a 30-year-old Wrangler, 6 banger 5 speed soft top that is one of the most fun vehicles to drive on the street that I have ever owned. The top and doors are always off except for Winter. No, it’s not the safest or most efficient vehicle, but it’s fabulous. This clown deserves to get his Jeep stuck. It could have just as easily been a Toyota, Chevy, Ford, etc.

I have an 07 Grand Cherokee with the Mercedes diesel and drivetrain. It’s a luxury car, it’s fast, and it can go anywhere. When it does finally die I am in love with the turbo diesel and will most likely go straight to Mercedes for my next SUV. I just like the handling in the winter snow and the reliability. I wouldn’t buy a new Jeep.
