In daily life I find I have always gotten along with people from all different type cultures, races, and backgrounds just fine. This incident, mistaking a garage pull rope for a noose, is the result of the crew member being hyper connected to the news cycle and seeing bad examples after bad examples to the point where he reacts to the worst possible possibility.
