If someone is an immigrant, it is their duty to assimilate to their country of residence’s customs and norms, not the other way round. Immigrants should be grateful to be welcomed in another country and should show gratefulness by, first of all being law-abiding citizens, and second of all, by learning about the local customs, traditions, culture, and way of life, and respecting it, and getting accustomed to it as much as possible. Never the other way round.
