PETA is a shelter of last resort for animals that aren’t being taken by other shelters, often animals with debilitating conditions. They do what they do for a reason. The notion that an animal rights group just goes out of its way to kill animals for fun is ridiculous on its face.

This line of argument is literally propaganda developed by the meat industry to discredit PETA. The fact that people don’t even bother to scrutinize this claim at all just blows me away.
