That said, I’m a black drinker and I very much love the taste of the coffee. It took some experience to realize though. I stopped adding anything in college because I was counting calories. After a week or so I stopped hating it that way. Slowly over the years, I’ve tried more and more coffee, and once I realized it’s the same as wine (price not usually important, location and roast make a huge difference) it was a game-changer.

Its an acquired taste. I crave black coffee now, ill go and buy a decaf coffee in the afternoon entirely for flavor. I used to need milk and flavor/sugar but now I hate adding anything. I also came to like beer and scotch, those weren’t day one drinks I enjoyed (I used to drink whatever we had to get drunk, now I try to drink and not get drunk, how times change)
