My spatial awareness is atrocious and I have no idea where the car is in relation to other objects or if I’m centered in my lane. The view out of the mirrors doesn’t really help me fully “get” what’s actually going on behind me. Even though I can see where a car is behind me in the mirror, I can’t actually conceptualize where the car is on the road unless I turn my head and look back.

. Speaking of which, shoulder checks are scary, I hate taking my eyes off of what’s in front of the vehicle. Apparently, when I shoulder check I turn my whole body, but I sure how to stop doing that. When I try to park on the side of the road I end up several feet from the curb. It messes me up even more that you’re not centered in a vehicle—if the driver’s seat + steering was centered in the vehicle like a bicycle or an ATV it would be so much easier and less confusing.
