You say unreal levels of debt, but the price of a house is roughly 900 dollars. Bells are based on the yen. So a house in AC costs approximately a third of a Nintendo switch! And no interest rate! Tom Nook is a pretty swell guy, in my book. He even uses the money to improve everyone’s quality of life! I’ve started that game so many times and never get out of the first act. It just sort of “meh”s out after a little bit. I can tell it should be fun, I play similar-ish games all the time. I just can’t explain why I just kinda… nope out soon. It’s all the same ocean. Basically you gather resources to survive to progress through a tech tree which allows you to go deeper and deeper so you can explore and build in new, more hostile environments.
