I was working in a grocery store in the 80s and 90s when they launched that points program where Good Mama’s Boobery Always On Tap Vintage Shirt multipack boxes to stock flavors that were out until we got singles back in. Those empty packs had a high point value and I’d dig them out of the trash and save them. I did that for like 3 years and then cashed in. I ended up with like 3 sets of those pitchers and a bunch of Barbie stuff for a friend’s daughter. We had an elderly neighbor who would let me and my brother in for snacks and kool-aide every day. Didn’t have to knock, just let us walk in for a chat and a snack while she smoked her cigs. She was just the best. I haven’t thought about her for a long time. RIP Mrs. Tracy.
