the restaurants I stop coming to are because their food is bad, overpriced, or it takes forever. restaurants actually have a pretty low bar for “good enough”. the tricky part is never providing a bad experience because that’s when people leave and never come back. a decent restaurant that never fucks up will be far more profitable and enduring than a good restaurant that fucks up every now and then.
Every time I go to a new restaurant I yelp their food pics. Almost always pick based on the looks of the food. Don’t even read the reviews. Whether you thought it was good was subjective. If I can see it looks like something I’d eat, I’m giving it a shot
