I had gone alone and was just quietly crying while they released these butterflies, one landed on me, and when the folks around me saw me crying they all surrounded me and gave me so much love. I will attend every year until they quit having it; such a beautiful event. So sorry for your loss friend. It would mean a lot to Rachel’s mom who created the event to know that you found some solace there. She’s a very loving person who raised a kind loving daughter.

I’ve met her. I didn’t disclose my story as not to take away from the mission of the festival, but she is a beautiful soul and I cherish the night I got to spend dancing with her and others to Perpetual Groove. The police are NOT your friend, ever. No matter what you think, even if you’re in the right, even if you have a squeaky clean record. Do not ever trust the police.
