The DoJ is part of the Executive branch though… They report to the Attorney General, who is appointed by the president. So technically the president DOES control the DoJ. e appoints it. He does not control it. That’s Trump style bullshit which has never been the norm of this government and never will be going forward. Fuck that. He can fire the AG at will and then appoint whoever he wants in place (with Senate confirmation) as well as erase any federal conviction he wants with a presidential pardon. How is that not control?
