Trump taught me that. I wish it didn’t have to come to that before the lesson was learned. But I get it now. If nothing else came from his time in office, there is at least that. He, in his own fucked up way, helped people realize they need to become part of the solution, or by default, they’re part of the problem. Can anyone remember anyone feeling/seeing this kind of joy regarding the president? Trump rallies have n inherent angry vibe to them, but this speech hasn’t even started and it’s just. I wouldn’t say carefree. But it’s definitely a special type of joy that none of us have felt in a long time; not even trump supporters.
You can just tell Kamala is going to do more as VP than Pence. Seriously, I couldn’t tell ya three things that the guy did. Literally, the only things that come up when I think of him are him sitting in the White House as a piece of cardboard while Trump argued with Pelosi about the shutdown and the fly landing on his head during the debate. I’m from the Netherlands and I can honestly say I am absolutely thrilled to see this speech live. It feels refreshing to see the US getting a leader that speaks of unification and light instead of hatred and division. Totally worth it staying awake for this.
