Usually, I think when people complain about forced feminism or whatever in Marvel movies that it’s really whiny and annoying, but this scene is the exception. Did it felt so… forced? When it could have come together naturally with a little bit of tweaking? It’s kinda disappointing that what could have been kind of a cool shot of the female heroes fighting together was ruined by the way it so desperately wanted people to notice and care.

It makes me bummed that the X-men aren’t in the MCU, the Fox movies made them all meh at best. I’ve been rewatching the animated series and the women are just as represented as the men. Like Rogue, Storm, and Jean Grey are constantly kicking ass and there are multiple plots that revolve around them. Even Jubilee, while a whiney teen, actually does shit and is clearly the main character.
