Aww. I grew up in Hawaii and live in Cali now and I’ve never really had that cold, snowy Christmas you see in all the commercials. I was always so jealous of that! Then I talked to people who did grow up in that and scraping ice off your car window whiles it’s heating up enough to drive, and hope you don’t crash on black ice in your car or while walking down the street, sucks. Haha, some people do love the snow, but most I know don’t (probably why they moved to Cali).

I love decorating too. When I got my own place the first Christmas I got a real tree, since we always had an artificial one. I inherited my grandfather’s train set from the 50s. And I got a new engine and that puppy runs under there in the evenings. I build a Winter Lego village that I’ve been building up, and my daughter helps to. I normally hate hosting parties but the annual holiday one is my favorite, and what I look forward to every year.
