Miley Cyrus IS talented. She’s a good singer, I like the vibe, but her talent hasn’t ever risen past mediocrity. I can’t point at a single album of hers and say it’s anything besides good, and that’s at best. Not a Miley fan either but this is good. I’m not a fan of covers that use the same approach as the original and Miley kind of takes a brute force approach here. Debra Harry sounds way more angelic. I’d be into hearing Karen Oh yeah yeah yeah do a version. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought so. It felt pretty glaring to me, I couldn’t really enjoy the song because of it. Her timing was off … band sounded great though.

I don’t know, you can’t just plug in another singer in a Deborah Harry song. The whole point of her way of singing is that ethereal breathy voice that breaks out in a growl now and then. This is way too hard and tough… though her voice is amazing. Miley Cyrus is in the same line of performers as Lady Gaga. She’s not universally loved, and most people dislike one thing or another about her. But then she does stuff like this or the backyard sessions, and you see just how huge of a talent she is. She was amazing in the Bill Murray Christmas special a few years back if anyone wants to see even more OG Destiny 1 blue flaming skull!
