I thought the same about helicopters too until I literally had one sneak up on me. Was in a parking lot next to a tiny municipal airport, didn’t hear anything, then suddenly there’s a pair of Apache helicopters directly overhead. With enough trees and flying low enough, those things are scary quiet.
