The mistake anyone makes is thinking that it’s Mexican food. I love Taco Bell, I love taco time, and I’ve enjoyed most of the legitimate Mexican food I’ve had. But they are far from the same thing. They both have a place now that I live in Puerto Vallarta, the idea of having taco bell ever again is slowly fading away. Any day all day I can have all sorts of tacos. It truly is a magical place. No need for the bell. Taco Bell has never made an authentic taco. I’d rather have sketchy asada from a guy near me then wait half an hour for a scared kid crew to screw up my simple order

It Will never succeed here because it’s too expensive, any street junk food here cost less than a dollar the portion and you get a good portion (Garnacha, the street junk food, is really greasy and well served with thick corn flour base) so you can eat a lot for real cheap like gorditas, quesadillas, sopes, tlayudas or pambazos. Taco Bell actually tastes good if you don’t see it as Mexican food, the real problem is the price, In Mexico food is cheap and USA franchises are seen as a luxury, even MacDonald’s, we say “with what a matrix costs you can easily get more Garnacha and a bigger soda” but you go to the franchise for the taste as people mentioned up.
