There’s one reason and one reason only that my wife and I could afford to start a family: We had a massive amount of monetary support from our parents. Enough that we could live off of one salary, so my wife could care for our twins when they were born. We need universal daycare. We need universal kindergarten. We need to eliminate education debt. I say this as someone who will, by the fortune of fate, not benefit directly from any of this. I had a boomer yelling at me that this would be the government brainwashing our kids to spy on us. The government already runs the public school system! Nothing 1984-ish happened with that. I don’t get some people.

Bernie Sanders is definitely the best candidate in the race. I normally don’t like the left because of Identity Politics, but he is one of the few who doesn’t rely on that. His policies are very smart practical things that should have happened 20 years ago. as a person who is blind, free health care would be very nice. At the moment I go to student doctors because that is what my insurance pays for. Personally, I would like to pick my own doctor, because I am getting tired of always having to re-explain my eye condition every two years.
