Then I saw the movie the first week it was out and it scared the living shit out of me. I lived pretty far back in a dirt road that kind of tunnels through trees. I was terrified while driving home. I didn’t sleep at all that night. Then the next week it came out that everything that fake.

If I recall correctly it was a “special report” from MTV news. I was 12-13 at the time but I vaguely remember Kurt Loader opening the report like a newscast which then segued into a TV documentary. I remember that though I didn’t totally buy it, there was enough doubt that when I got to see the movie a week or so later, the very last scene/shot came up and I had to make a conscious effort not to shit myself with fear.
