You belittle and mistreat your girlfriend. That’s why you’re TA. And on top of that, you leave her on her own and abandon her. Hey, at least she now knows that football is more important than her so at least you don’t have to remind her next time. She shouldn’t have come, but you shouldn’t have left her behind. It’s not your job to provide the motivation your girlfriend needs to improve her body/wellbeing. You can and should be supportive, but you honestly shouldn’t be the driving force, or she won’t stick with it

If she doesn’t want it on her own, no amount of support will make her want that, nor will it make her do that. She should have known the difference in your levels of athleticism and been cool about trying shorter hikes, less strenuous hikes, or at least a hike that had no time crunch. Being tired, overly strained, slow, and insistent, are all on her.
